This is some of the ZX Spectrum Games that were available on the Amstrad E2 Plus(Gamma) and E3 Videophone(Delta) E-Mailer Models from 2002 and 2004.
The original E-Mailer E1 never had ZX Spectrum Games, only E-mail, that's why the E2 plus version was created, for Games, SMS and Internet.
Some of the games available for download on the E3
Star Wars download page and cost for game.
All games were the same price,All games were rented only.

The Spectrum emulator started life as one of the open source ones out there. The trick was that most were designed for PC with 100's of MHz. But the Gamma only had 48K so the clever bit was opitmising it to run at operational speed in that. The simulator was added because we thought we could make money selling people games as downloads. At the time things like GameBoy and GameBoy Color were contemporary. When we developed Delta then the colour screen added a whole new dimension to the simulator.
They were about 40 games to choose from and had 5 categories and Top Downloads by pressing 1 to 6 on the Mailboard, on the video below..
The E3 playing games and games GUI.
In 2004 no landline phone had a colour screen and was able to play games like a Mobile phone,it was a head of its time.
We do have something like this now, its powered by Android, its called a Gchord Smart Landline Telephone but it from the US but don't know if it would work in the UK.
Here is a video of it, it not a cheap phone but you don't have to pay a charge for it to work so, I don't think anyone would want a Emailer now.
It looks abit like the E3 but all the buttons have been replaced with a 7.9 inch screen like a tablet.
its $259.00 wow..I would not get one,its abit steep for a landline phone but it does depend on how much it cost to make and as well trying to make a profit out of it, what do you think, would you want one..? well that's why the Amstrad Emailer was attractive, its price, it was only £99 in 2004 and down to £49.99 by 2005,its selling point was its price so people didn't mind the charge.
Here is a video of it ,its a good looking phone, but it looks like a Landline phone and a Tablet or a iPad put together...lol
Here is another one.. .. interesting... its only a IP phone so don't work with landline.
